I expect to use it mostly for digging in our heavy clay soil but have already had some drilling and chipping work that I've needed to do. It's been a great tool for the great price I got. After reading reviews for other Bosch rotary hammers, I decided 11263EVS was the right "hybrid" size for my use. It's large and powerful enough to do the digging and demo work that I'll be doing most frequently but no too big for occasional overhead use (and I didn't want to spend any more). If you're doing a LOT of one type of work, you may want to consider a rotary hammer that's bigger or smaller.Complaints that keep me from rating at 5 stars:1. Handle and trigger ergonomics. I have a hard time carrying the tool without switching it on--my hands are too big to fit in the smaller handle opening and it's hard not to switch it on when carrying by the larger handle.2.
